International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) - Handgun Practical Shooting
Practical Shooting is a quick and energetic discipline catering at SSAA SRB to centrefire handguns of different classes.
Most matches comprise a minimum of three stages and the courses of fire are designed to offer challenging and active scenarios that test the capacity of the shooter and their equipment. The targets are paper or steel, and the competitor is scored on their accuracy and time in comparison with all the scores and times shot on the day.
If you wish to join in this exciting and challenging discipline of the shooting sports, you will need the following:
Hold a Category H Firearms Licence (or PPL past the first 6 months)
Have a firearm, magazines, holster, belt and mag pouches to suit the IPSC division you want to compete in
Be a member of the SSAA SRB Pistol Club
Complete the IPSC Australia Safety and Holster Proficiency training course
Become a personal member of IPSC Australia
